3rd October 2026 – (Hong Kong) Social media footage circulated yesterday showed large crowds of bus enthusiasts gathering at Tin Shui Wai Town Centre Public Transport Interchange as an MTR Bus model completed its final day in service on route K74. The scenes intensified shortly after 8.00pm when the vehicle returned to the terminus, with numerous fans stepping into the carriageway to film and photograph, leading to jostling at the front of the bus and a report to police.

One widely shared clip depicts a black‑clad, masked man on the roadway forcefully shoving a man holding an umbrella amid audible cheers. A second video, seemingly captured from another angle, records the umbrella‑holding man shouting hoarsely, “Call the police, you hit me,” before appearing to kick towards the black‑clad man and prodding him with the umbrella. The umbrella‑holder then turns to leave, but the black‑clad man advances and shoves him again, propelling him several steps forward without a fall, as bystanders accuse the umbrella‑holder of striking first and urge him to make a report.

Additional footage shows the umbrella‑holder continuing to allege assault and apparently placing a call believed to be to the authorities, while other voices berate fans for blocking the road. At one point, the black‑clad man briefly dances in front of the bus. A passing private car slows significantly to avoid any collision with pedestrians crowding near the vehicle’s bonnet.

Police said they received a report at 8.02pm that three males were standing near the front of a bus at the location, where a quarrel and minor physical contact occurred. Officers arrived to investigate and spoke with a 33‑year‑old man surnamed Lau, an 18‑year‑old man surnamed Wu and a 16‑year‑old boy. The parties reached reconciliation on site, the incident was classified as a dispute, and no arrests were made.
