6th December 2023 – (Seoul) According to a report by JTBC on December 6, BTS member V and BLACKPINK’s Jennie have allegedly ended their rumored relationship prior to V’s upcoming military enlistment. While their respective agencies, Big Hit Music and YG Entertainment, never officially confirmed their dating status, the two idols have been seen together on various occasions, leading fans and netizens to speculate about their relationship.
The alleged couple was reportedly spotted together on a trip to Jeju Island, and Jennie even invited V and his group of friends, including Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, and Park Hyung Sik, to a private listening party for her second solo single “You & Me”. They were also said to have been seen holding hands in Paris.
As of now, YG Entertainment and Big Hit Music have not provided any official statements regarding the reported breakup.
Meanwhile, V, along with his BTS bandmates RM, Jimin, and Jungkook, is set to enlist in the military on the 11th and 12th of this month, making them the last four members to fulfil their military duties. In a recent live broadcast, the group bid farewell to their fans.
Sharing their sentiments about their impending military service, V expressed excitement while Jimin mentioned missing their time together and the BTS fanbase, known as “ARMY.” RM reassured fans, stating that although their return may take some time, the year and a half will pass quickly, considering they have been active for over a decade. The youngest member, Jungkook, voluntarily decided to enlist alongside his fellow members, expressing his belief that it is a decision he will not regret and one that will bring the group back together as soon as possible.
V acknowledged fans’ concerns but assured them that he chose to enlist to challenge himself. He also expressed his determination to improve his physical fitness, aiming to come back healthier and stronger. V jokingly mentioned gaining weight from 62 kilograms to 86 kilograms before his return, emphasizing his dedication to maintaining stamina even during 15 consecutive concerts.
