Bomb found near Chai Wan North Pumping Station No.2

6th August 2022 – (Hong Kong) At 11.47am today (6th), the police received a report from a foreign man that a suspected bomb was found at No. 75 Chai Wan Road, Chai Wan, near the hillside behind the Water Supplies Department’s Chai Wan North Pumping Station No. 2. The police cordoned off the scene and notified the officers of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau to arrive at the scene. Initial inspections believed that the bomb was about 2 inches by 8 inches which belonged to the British army during World War II.

After the police were deployed, the shells were detonated at the scene. During the period, firefighters also arrived at the scene to be on standby. No evacuation was required during the incident, and no one was injured.
