Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, ‘Life of Pi’ and ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ actor dies from colon infection, aged 53

29th April 2020 – (Mumbai) Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has died after a two-year battle with neuroendocrine tumour, reported Hindustan Times. The legendary actor Irrfan Khan (5e years) has passed away on Wednesday at the Kokila Ben Hospital in Mumbai. After his death, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire film industry. His mother died a few days ago. Irrfan Khan was admitted to the ICU due to a sudden deterioration of his health.

He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, India, on 28th April, where he was under observation for colon infection.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “‘I trust, I have surrendered’; These were some of the many words that Irrfan expressed in a heartfelt note he wrote in 2018 opening up about his fight with cancer. And a man of few words and an actor of silent expressions with his deep eyes and his memorable actions on screen.
