3rd February 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 11.23pm, 2 men and 1 woman booked a car through UBER ride-hailing app opposite Hysan Place in Causeway Bay. During the period, they found a BMW car stopped on the side of the road at No. 525 Hennessy Road. The three misunderstood it to be the car booked earlier. They then tried to open the doors to get in the car. The male driver in the car was taken aback by their action, so he stopped them by shouting. One of the two drunk men and the woman started an altercation with the male car driver.
During the commotion, one of them kicked the car door to vent his anger. The driver got out of the car to stop him. Unexpectedly, there was a physical fight broke out between the driver and the man and woman. The three then fought in the street. Afterwards, the driver reported to police over the incident. All 3 involved in the case were arrested and taken away. The driver reported that he was injured on the face and needed to be sent to the hospital by ambulance while another man who was with the other man and woman was so drunk that he had to be assisted by paramedics to board the ambulance before being sent to the hospital.
