2nd June 2023 – (Osaka) BLACKPINK’s world tour is in full swing, but the upcoming performances in Osaka, Japan on 3rd and 4th June will be without member Jisoo (Kim Ji-soo), who has tested positive for COVID-19. YG Entertainment, the group’s management company, released a statement late on June 1st, announcing that “Jisoo will be absent from the concerts, while the other three members will still perform as scheduled.”

With only one day until the concert, the news of Jisoo’s absence has left many fans disappointed, but also concerned for her health and well-being. YG Entertainment explained that Jisoo had developed mild cold-like symptoms and had tested negative on a rapid COVID-19 test at the time. However, a subsequent test on June 1st came back positive, leading the company to make the difficult decision to have Jisoo sit out the concerts.

The remaining members of BLACKPINK, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, will still perform in Osaka, but fans will miss out on seeing Jisoo’s solo performances and the group’s iconic flower dance. YG Entertainment acknowledged the disappointment of fans in their statement, saying, “We understand the anticipation and excitement of our fans for the concert and will do our best to present the show as planned. We hope for your understanding and support.”
