Balloons used for ceremony to celebrate the first day of the Air Travel Bubble between HK and Singapore destroyed

22nd November 2020 – (Hong Kong) The fourth wave of the COVID-19 outbreak in Hong Kong has caused the Air Travel Bubble (ATB) between Singapore and Hong Kong scheduled to start today (22nd) to be postponed for at least 2 weeks.

Over a hundred balloons that were originally used for decoration were punctured by the staff today. Tsuen Wan District Councillor Roy Tam Hoi Pong’ reposted three pictures on his Facebook at nearly 3pm today, claiming that the airport had originally scheduled a ceremony today to celebrate the inaugural flight between Singapore and Hong Kong under the Air Travel Bubble (ATB). However, the ceremony was allso subsequently cancelled.
