Around 100,000 protestors take part in the Sha Tin extradition march

14th July 2019 (Hong Kong) Organisers claimed around 10,000 protestors left Chui Tin Street Soccer Pitch at 4.15pm while many still arrived from Tai Wai Station and Che Kung Temple Station to join in the march. Over 10 police vehicles stopped behind New Town Plaza while 50 riot police alighted from the vehicles when protestors started to gather and walk at around 3pm.

Protestors reached the end of the route at Shatin Main bus terminus at 4.43pm.

At 5.13pm today, protestors hurled water bottles at police officers during a stand off in front of Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre. Shatin Town Hall is currently closed due to the street protest.

Meanwhile, Transport Department announced that traffic is closed on both directions of Che Kung Temple Station Road, Mei Tin Road and Lion Rock Tunnel Road. Sha Tin Central Bus Terminus, mini bus terminus and taxi stands would be closed from 1pm until the protestors are dispersed.
