Applicants who submit application forms in writing for HK$10,000 Cash Payout Scheme will receive money 5 days earlier


12th July 2020 – (Hong Kong) The COVID-19 epidemic has affected the Hong Kong economy. The Financial Secretary Frank Chan wrote on his online blog today (12th) that in the HK$10,000 Cash Payout Scheme, the date of collection will be 5 days earlier than expected for those who submitted application forms in writing. They will receive the payment via cheque or bank wire transfer.

At least 1.2 million citizens will receive their money five days earlier. The first batch of 630,000 citizens who registered in writing, that is, people born in 1955 or before, they will receive the money as early as Wednesday (15th) if they have chosen bank wire transfer. If they have chosen to receive cheques, they will receive a cheque notice from Hongkong Post. R
