5th March 2025 – (San Francisco) On Tuesday, Apple announced the release of new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models powered by the M3 chip.

While the latest iPad Air supports Apple Intelligence, it does not include the newer M4 chip. Apple claims that the iPad Air with the M3 chip is nearly twice as fast as its predecessor featuring the M1 chip and up to 3.5 times quicker than the version with the A14 Bionic chip.

Additionally, the M3’s Neural Engine is reported to be 60% faster for AI-related tasks compared to the M1.

Apple has also upgraded the standard iPad, which now comes with double the starting storage and is equipped with the A16 chip, making it approximately 30% faster than the previous generation.

Pricing for the new iPad Air starts at $599 for the 11-inch model and $799 for the 13-inch model, available in configurations of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

Preorders for the new iPad Air began on Tuesday, with the official launch set for 12th March.
