14th October 2020 – (Cupertino) Chief Executive Officer of Apple, Tim Cook launched its latest iPhone at Apple Park in California at 1am Hong Kong Time.
“The Next Generation is here,” Cook says: “Today, we’re bringing 5G to iPhone.” It will bring more responsive gaming, real-time interactivity, and faster uploads and downloads, he says, and you can get faster speeds even in densely connected areas.
It comes in black, white, (Product) Red, green and gorgeous blue.
The new iPhone 12 is 11% thinner and 15% smaller in volume than iPhone 11. The phone comes with Super Retina XDR display. the new OLED display has higher resolution than the iphone 11. It has 460 pixels per inch and the screen is made of Ceramic Shield which is tougher than any other smart phones. It has 4X better drop performance and it’s 4 times less likely to crack when the phone is accidentally dropped on the floor
It has Smart Data mode where it will fall to LTE mode whenever users don’t need 5G to save energy. The phone is powered by a A14 BIONIC chip which is the fastest in the world built on a 5-nanometer process technology, up to 50% faster than any smartphones in the world.
The new iPhone 12 has 12MP Wide camera comes with f/16 aperture and 7-elements lens and it can achieve 27% improvement in low-light environment and users can shoot ultra-wide angle pictures. Night-mode time lapse is also available on the new iPhone 12.
The new iPhone 12 also comes with a MAGSAFE wireless charging.
An iPhone MINI and iPhone 12 Pro also launched. iPhone 12 Mini will be on sale for US$699 and iPhone 12 for US$799. The iPhone 12 Pro will cost from US$999 and the iPhone Pro Max from US$1099, both starting at 128GB, and shipping from 23rd October. The iPhones 12 will follow a month later, on 13th November.
In Hong Kong, pre-order for iPhone 12 Pro will start on 16th October and 6th November for iPhone 12 Pro Max. The price for 6.1 inch iPhone Pro will start at HK$8,499 while the 6.7 inch iPhone 12 Pro Max will start from HK$9,399. To pre-order, click HERE.
