29th January 2023 – (Hong Kong) At around 1am today, an apartment unit in Grandway Garden at Tai Wai caught fire. Firefighters arrived at the scene and quickly extinguished the fire. Around 30 residents went to the rooftop to wait for rescue. Another 100 residents evacuated themselves to the ground floor. According to sources, a woman was injured and the cause of the fire is yet to be investigated. It is not ruled out that the owner of the unit where the fire started accidentally burned objects when lighting aromatherapy lamp.
