18th October 2020 – (Seoul) JYP Entertainment, the company of South Korean girl group TWICE, issued a statement yesterday (17th) announcing that after Mina, another member, Jeongyeon will suspend her tour due to psychological anxiety. Since TWICE will release a new album “Eyes wide open” in 8 days, fans are quite worried about Jeongyeon. The company mentioned that Jeongyeon is mentally nervous about the schedule and she is suffering from anxiety.
Therefore, after discussing with Jeongyeon and TWICE members, it decided to suspend all activities immediately. Currently, Jeongyeon is focusing on treatment and recuperation, so she will be absent from the new album promotion activities. Since the return of TWICE is less merely than 10 days and Mina has stopped work for more than half a year due to anxiety in July last year, fans are very worried about Jeongyeon’s condition, and the company has arranged too many trips for the 9 members. TWICE has to participate in the activities in Korea and Japan. There are also a large number of endorsements and program shootings in between.
