An exhibit of film props and screening of 1941 drama, Christmas at the Royal Hotel on 10th Sept at Chung Chi College

19th August 2019 – (Hong Kong) An exhibit of film props will be on display from the movie sets from the 1941 historical drama Christmas at the Royal Hotel 《1941的聖誕》.   Antique radios, telephones, cameras, office decor, cheongsams, typewriters, household goods and other vintage items used in the movie will be exhibited.  In the evening, there will be a screening and post-screening discussion of Christmas at the Royal Hotel 《1941的聖誕》.  


Movie & Film Props Exhibition: 10 September 2019.

The event will be held at Chung Chi College on the CUHK campus (Hong Kong).  Opening ceremony of the movie props exhibition will be at 4:30pm and movie screening will start at 7pm.  This event is free and open to the public.

Movie synopsis: In 1941, Hong Kong was the Casablanca of the East, a city full of war refugees, profiteers and spies. With the sudden attack by Japanese Imperial troops, a soldier’s Christmas promise is broken during the Battle of Hong Kong.
