6th August 2025 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong Observatory cancelled the Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal at 12.30am. Despite this, the area remains under the influence of an active southwest monsoon and upper-air disturbances, leading to ongoing thundery showers near the Pearl River Estuary.
Intense gusts are still affecting Hong Kong, with speeds exceeding 80 kilometres per hour recorded at Green Island around 1.1.40pm yesterday.
