Airport operations normalise after all protesters, cleaning staff clear posters and banners left behind at arrival hall

At 7.30am today, airport staff cleaned the arrival hall.

15th August 2019 – (Hong Kong) After the Airport Authority obtained a court injunction to prevent protesters from obstructing airport operations, all flights have been restored to normal today. At around 12.30am today, there were still over 20 protesters sitting at arrival hall and sleep.

At 1.02am today, there were only around 30 protesters left at Arrival Hall B, Airport Terminal 1.

The operations of all check-in counters at most airlines were normal at 7am this morning. Airport security officials were seen checking documents of travellers at the entrance.

8 airport staff spent 10 minutes to clean all the posters, banners left behind by protesters at around 8am while 2 masked protesters looked on. All protesters left the arrival hall at 8am and crowd control measures were implemented while the entrance was blocked by water filled barricades with check points.
