Air New Zealand plane makes emergency landing in HK airport after cockpit windshield cracked


27th January 2022 – (Hong Kong) An Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (aircraft registration number ZK-NZH) departed from Christchurch International Airport in New Zealand’s South Island at 4.30pm Hong Kong time yesterday (26th) to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

As of 3am local time today (27th), when the plane flew to the sky south of Hong Kong, the pilot found that the windshield in the cockpit was suspected to have cracked. The pilot then notified the airport control tower at Hong Kong International Airport to arrange an emergency landing. Firemen and related rescue personnel were on standby near the runway, and finally the passenger plane landed safely at 4.20am in the morning, and no one on board was injured.
