27th March 2023 – (Las Vegas) British singer-songwriter Adele has announced that she is extending her Las Vegas residency by adding new dates for her “Weekends with Adele” shows at Caesar’s Palace. The Grammy Award-winning artist, known for her emotional ballads about heartbreak and nostalgia, wrapped up her initial run of shows on Saturday and quickly took to Instagram to tease her return, captioning a photo of herself on stage with the words “See you soon.”
According to her website, Adele will perform an additional 34 shows, scheduled to take place between 16th June to 4th November. The extended residency is expected to draw in even more fans, who will have the chance to see the beloved artist perform some of her greatest hits, such as “Hello” and “Someone Like You,” live in concert.
Adele’s Las Vegas residency has not been without its setbacks. Originally scheduled to begin in early 2020, the shows were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, much to the disappointment of fans who had already made travel plans to see her perform. When the concerts finally did kick off in November of that year, they were met with overwhelming praise, with critics hailing Adele’s powerful vocals and emotional performances.
However, the shows were hit with another setback in January 2022, when Adele was forced to cancel her upcoming performances due to half of her crew contracting COVID-19 and delivery delays caused by the pandemic. Fans who had already made their way to Nevada or were planning to do so were understandably disappointed, but the artist assured them that she would be back as soon as possible.
