Additional route proposed for Sunday protest from Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park and Edinburgh Place to Government Headquarters, protestors to wear black

14th June 2019 – (Hong Kong) Civil Human Rights discussed with the police at their Headquarters in Wan Chai today and proposed two additional routes for the Sunday march. This suggestion was made after a 5-hour delay was experienced by protestors last Sunday at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay due to congestion.

In addition to the original route from Victoria Park to Government Headquarters, a new route starting from Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park and Edinburgh Place to Government Headquarters will be added.

Leaflets have been circulated to the public at multiple locations and on social media in Hong Kong today to remind protestors to wear black during the March on Sunday.

The theme for the Sunday protest is ‘If you don’t come out today, you won’t be able to come out tomorrow’. Organisers are expecting a turnout of 1.03 million or more.
