Aaron Kwok’s 2020 Online Concert streamed live on Youtube and Facebook to raise fund for dancers affected by the pandemic


9th May 2020 – (Hong Kong) On 12th April, local veteran singer Sam Hui performed a live concert online where more than 2.4m fans from around the world watched him singing his hit songs at Ocean Terminal Deck, Harbour City in TST to raise funds for former employees of Tom Lee Engineering Ltd, a sound engineering company who became jobless due to the COVID-19 shutdown. The employees helped him in setting up his concerts in the past 30 years including his first concert at the Coliseum in 1983. Sam has also donated HK$250,000 personally to the employees.

Between 5pm to 6pm today, local Cantopop superstar, Aaron Kwok also followed Sam Hui’s footsteps to perform live at the same location to raise fund for dancers who have been affected by the pandemic. 80 dancers performed alongside Aaron Kwok during his dance hits. He has prepared a total of 13 songs for his fans and the concert is currently being streamed live on Facebook and Youtube. As of 5.13pm, only around 43,000 fans tuned in to watch him perform live on Youtube and 73,800 fans tuned in on Facebook Live. The live video is also shared by many other media agencies on their social media pages.
