A total of 67 arrests has been made by police since 12th June till yesterday


8th July 2019 – (Hong Kong) Police announced as at today there are a total 67 arrests made in connection with violent clashes during street protests since 12th June.

Police arrested a protestor who failed to produce identity documents at around 5.30pm on Canton Road yesterday. Another 6 people aged between 20-66 years old were also arrested for assaulting police officers and obstructing police officers in carrying out their duties.

A total of 67 people have been arrested since protestors besieged Wan Chai Police Headquarters on 12th June and Legislative Council Building on 1st July till the Kowloon march yesterday. One of the protestors, Pun has already been charged in court. His case will be heard on 2nd of August 2019.
