90s sex symbol and actress Rachel Lee claims electronic consumption voucher and takes MTR train to Sham Shui Po to enjoy local food


    3rd July 2022 – (Hong Kong) 56-year-old Hong Kong actress Rachel Lee took MTR train to visit Sham Shui Po recently and shared her photos on her Instagram account. The 90s sex symbol often describers herself as ‘fat and old’.

    Lee has not appeared movies in recent years, and she has begun to lead a simpler life. Lee was admired by many fans when she was young. She even described herself as a ‘grandma’ on one of the photos and said that she was young before. Unlike other social influencers who usually ‘photoshop’ their pictures, she uploaded all unedited photos of herself on her social media account. She shared pictures of her simple life of drinking milk tea in local cafeteria in Sham Shui Po but in one picture, she did pose with her Chanel backpack. She claimed that she even collected HK$1,000 electronic consumption voucher via her Octopus card in a local MTR station. She jokingly said that she couldn’t use the money buy ice cream because she wants to lose weight and she can’t buy swimsuit with the money because she hasn’t slimmed down. Hence, she went to support young entrepreneurs who run catering premises in Sham Shui Po.

    Lee started playing small roles in Hong Kong movies in the 1980s. Her first role as a lead actress was in Devoted to You.After secondary school, she continued to play young teenagers in the 1980s until 1990. In the early 90s she actively participated in erotic comedy films such as Sex and Zen 2 and Crazy Love. Due to her age she can only be found today working in mainstream Hong Kong cinema. Her performance in Ordinary Heroes earned her a Golden Horse Award in 1999 for Best Actress.

    In an interview with FHM, Lee revealed that her parents were Indonesian Hakka of Meixian ancestry.
