80-year-old man falls into coma and dies in fire incident at Shek Lei (I) Estate


26th November 2021 – (Hong Kong) A fire broke out at a unit in Shek Sau House, Shek Lei (I) Estate, Kwai Chung yesterday (25th). A male resident with the surname Tsang (80 years old) fell into a coma and was rescued by firefighters and sent to hospital. He subsequently passed away at 8.15pm. Initial investigation by the fire department believed that the cause of the fire was suspicious, and the police classified it as an arson case. It is understood that the victim lived with his 77-year-old wife and all their three sons have moved out.

At the time of the incident, the victim was home alone. The wife was also sent to hospital for inspection as she was devastated over the news. Later, she assisted the police in investigating event.
