16th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) On the night of 15th February, a man named Wong (31 years old) was brutally attacked by three assailants with knives at 70 Hill Road in the Western District. Law enforcement officials conducted an extensive investigation and carried out operations across Hong Kong on the 15th and 16th, resulting in the arrest of seven men (aged 25 to 62) and one woman (aged 31), all suspected of conspiring to cause harm to Wong. All those arrested are currently being detained for further investigation. The operation is ongoing, and it is not ruled out that more people will be apprehended.

The incident took place around 11m when Wong and his friends were chatting and smoking outside a school opposite the restaurant they had just finished supper at. Suddenly, a private car pulled up beside them, and three assailants jumped out and attacked Wong with their knives. As Wong cried out for help, the attackers fled in their car driven by an accomplice towards the downhill of Hill Road. Wong sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment while the attackers made their escape.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found a pool of blood on the pavement. Police cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation. The case was classified as “causing harm to another person,” and law enforcement officials began a manhunt for the private car and four suspects aged between 20 to 30 years, who were reportedly around 1.7 to 1.8 meters tall with a medium build, wearing black clothes and masks during the attack. It was revealed that Wong’s girlfriend is an internet celebrity.
