19th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) On 19th March at 2.37pm, a 75-year-old man named Ip solicited the services of a prostitute in a subdivided unit located at On Chuen Building, 12-14 Ming Ngai Street, Tuen Mun. During the transaction, an assailant wielding a knife barged into the room and snatched Ip’s wallet before fleeing the scene. Ip immediately ceased the exchange and chased after the perpetrator while donning his clothing. Unfortunately, the culprit remains at large, prompting Ip to report the incident to law enforcement authorities.
Upon receiving the report, police officers responded promptly. Ip confirmed that the stolen wallet contained HK$2,000 in cash. Subsequently, he expressed his intention not to press charges, and the case was classified as a miscellaneous offence.
