In her post titled “Chasing the Moon with Colorful Clouds to Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival,” Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee explains that “Colourful clouds chasing the moon” is a famous Cantonese music piece, with lyrics that symbolise celestial beings riding colourful clouds to the moon palace. The song portrays the mythical moon palace in people’s imagination and sets a relaxed and carefree atmosphere for ordinary citizens. She expresses that tonight is a night for moon chasing, and as this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival falls right after the National Day holiday, everyone has more time to celebrate with their families and enjoy a leisurely and joyful extended break.
