72-year-old man jumps to his death at North Point


26th October 2020 – (Hong Kong) At 6.30am this morning (26th), an elderly man suspected of falling from the top of a building at 871, King’s Road, North Point. He was found lying unconscious. The security guard of the building was shocked by the loud noise and called the police for help. After inspection, it was confirmed that the victim was seriously injured and died.

The police arrived at the scene to investigate and found a round folding stool and suicide note on the roof of the building. After preliminary investigation, the victim was identified as a 72-year-old man who resided at the building. The victim had a medical record of chronic disease. The victim’s body was covered by a tent and was sent to the mortuary after the worker arrived. The cause of death is yet to be determined by an autopsy.
