27th May 2023 – (Hong Kong) Police received a call from a security guard at Long Ping Estate Shek Ping House, 1 Long Ping Road, Yuen Long, shortly before 10pm yesterday. The guard had discovered an elderly man lying on a platform and suspected that he had fallen from a height. Emergency responders rushed to the scene and confirmed that the man had died on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Lam (72 years old), a resident of the housing estate. Investigators believe that he fell from one of the units in the building, but the cause of death has yet to be determined pending an autopsy. No suicide note was found at the scene.
