CHP confirms 7 COVID-19 cases in HK today including 4 imported cases (Updated: 8pm)


6th April 2021 – (Hong Kong)  The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) announced that as of 12am today, there were seven additional confirmed COVID-19 cases, taking the number of cases to 11,532 in Hong Kong so far (comprising 11,531 confirmed cases and one probable case).
Among the newly reported cases announced, four are imported cases and three are epidemiologically linked with a local case. The four imported cases are 3 arrivals from India and one from Pakistan.
 A total of 127 cases have been recorded in the past 14 days (March 23 to April 5), including 29 local cases of which 9 are from unknown sources.

  As at 9am today, 10 COVID-19 confirmed patients were discharged from hospital in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 11,155 patients with confirmed or probable infection have been discharged.

  At present, there are 651 negative pressure rooms in public hospitals with 1,197 negative pressure beds activated. A total of 133 confirmed patients are currently hospitalised in 20 public hospitals and the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre, among which nine patients are in critical condition, three are in serious condition and the remaining 121 patients are in stable condition.
