63-year-old man injured by 41-year-old girlfriend during dispute at home in Sai Kung

29th January 2023 – (Hong Kong) At around 9pm yesterday (28th), a 63-year-old man had a dispute with his 41-year-old girlfriend over religious issues in a village house on Pak Kong Road in Sai Kung. The woman became emotional and slashed the man with a 12-inch fruit knife. He was injured in the chest. The victim went to the Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment on his own, but the doctor found that the injury was caused by a sharp knife, so he notified the police. After a preliminary investigation, the police arrested the woman on suspicion of wounding. The case was temporarily handed over to the second team of the Criminal Investigation Team of the Tseung Kwan O Police District for follow-up. The man was then transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
