61-year-old angler falls into sea and succumbs to injuries in Tsuen Wan


20th April 2024 – (Hong Kong) At around 11am today, a middle-aged man was fishing along the shores of Castle Peak Road – Tsing Lung Tau in Tsuen Wan, opposite Ka Loon Tsuen. Unfortunately, he slipped and fell into the sea, prompting nearby anglers to quickly alert the authorities. Rescue personnel promptly arrived at the scene and managed to retrieve the unconscious man from the water. He was swiftly transported to Tuen Mun Hospital for urgent medical attention, but, regrettably, his life could not be saved.

The location of the incident was a rocky area along the coastal stretch of the mentioned Castle Peak Road, a popular spot frequented by numerous fishing enthusiasts. According to reports, the victim, aged 61, was believed to have lost his balance and fallen into the water due to possible exhaustion during his fishing activity in the crevices of the rocks. The police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
