10th March 2020 – (South Korea) A COVID-19 infected civil servant from Daegu, South Korea donated his blood one week ago before he was tested positive for the virus on 23rd February. He began to display symptoms after donating blood on 13th February.
A total of 6 patients donated their blood within 2 weeks before they were tested positive.
Although the donated blood has been recalled, half of it has been transfused into nine recipients.
