7 people die in 6 separate suicide cases at various locations


12th June 2019 – (Hong Kong) A total of 7 people were found dead by police in 6 separate suicide cases since 5pm yesterday. A 13 year old boy jumped off the top of Tin Shing Court in Tin Shui Wai at around 5pm.

At around 11pm yesterday, two women aged 40 and 41 years old respectively were found dead in a subdivided flat on Pok Man Street, Tai Kok Tsui. The decomposed bodies were believed to be dead for some time. Police officers found burned charcoal next to them and neighbours last saw them leaving and entering their apartment two days ago. Police classified the case as suicide pact. One of them had chronic disease and the other deceased was suffering from depression. Sources confirmed that they were friends who rented the unit together.

At around 2am today, a middle-aged man plummeted from the top of Kai Lok House in Kai Yip Estate, Kowloon Bay before sustaining multiple fractures. He was found unconscious and ambulance rushed him to United Christian Hospital but it was too late. He was pronounced dead upon arrival. Meanwhile, another 51 year old man, Chan also committed suicide by burning charcoal in his room at around the same. His wife found him unconscious in his room at Jardine Summit, 50A Tai Hang Rd, Tai Hang. He was later rushed to hospital but paramedics team failed to resurrect him. The deceased left behind a suicide note citing financial issues as the main cause of death.

A woman jumped off Laguna City in Kwun Tong at around 11am today. Rescue team pronounced her dead at the scene. Police have commenced investigations.

At 12.42pm today, a resident committed suicide by burning charcoal at his unit in Mier Service Apartments at 6-8 Hospital Riad, Sheung Wan. Ambulance pronounced him dead at the scene.
