5 specified premises including Food Court in Hysan Place, KFC in Maritime Square 1 to undergo compulsory virus testing

15th January 2022 – (Hong Kong) The Government exercises the power under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing for Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J) and publishes in the Gazette a compulsory testing notice, which requires any person who had been present at five specified premises listed below during the specified period (persons subject to compulsory testing) to undergo a COVID-19 nucleic acid test.

 In view of one import-related case and one case tested preliminarily positive, five specified premises are included in the compulsory testing notice. The Government strongly reminds members of the public to strictly follow the compulsory testing requirements and undergo the multiple tests on time as required. The above compulsory testing requirement applies to those who have completed a COVID-19 vaccination course as well. They are advised to closely monitor their health conditions. They should seek medical attention and undergo testing even if they have only mild symptoms.

 Four specified premises included in the compulsory testing notice announced on 8th January, namely Ocean Fresh Restaurant, Shop U206-U209, UG2/F, Lok Fu Place, 198 Junction Road, Wang Tau Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong; Yoli Korean Restaurant, Shop 3104, 3/F, Lok Fu Place, 198 Junction Road, Wang Tau Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong; Natural Moment, Shop 307, 3/F, Tai Yau Plaza, 181 Johnston Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong; and Starbucks, 1/F, East Asia Mansion, 23-29 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, are deleted.

 Furthermore, the address of a specified premises included in the compulsory testing notice announced on January 10 should be Community Testing Centre at Henry G. Leong Yaumatei Community Centre, 60 Public Square Street, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Any person who had been present at that premises at any time during the period from 7pm to 8pm on January 8 (including but not limited to full-time, part-time and relief staff and visitors), has to undergo testing on the specified dates (i.e. 9th or 10th January, 11th January, 12th January, 15th January, 20th and 27th January).
