28th January 2023 – (Hong Kong) At around 12pm, a male resident surnamed Cheung (44 years old) at Fuk Wing Building, No. 81 Fuk Wing Street in Sham Shui Po threw his 15-month-old pet cat on the floor after it scratched his 17-year-old son’s face. The cat fell into coma and died. He then reported the crime by himself to police. Cheung was arrested on suspicion of cruelty to animals. The dead cat was subsequently disposed of by staff from the Society for the Protection of Animals.
