20th September 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 6 pm today, there were a group of civilians forming a human chain near Tsuen Wan MTR Station. Lam, a 42-year-old man passed by New Town Mall and saw the human chain before clashing with the civilians present. During the scuffle, the man was elbowed by someone before he grabbed a young man clad in black to prevent him from leaving. Upon seeing the situation, his friend then punched the man several times on his face before he shouted for help. The young man and the assailant then fled the scene. The injured man sustained bleeding, bruise and injury on his right eye.
Bloodstains were found on his shirt. He then called police for help before being sent to Yan Chai Hospital for further treatment. After preliminary investigations, police treated the case as assault causing bodily harm. The case is currently being followed up by Tsuen Wan Police District. No one has been arrested as at now.
