20th May 2023 – (Hong Kong) Kelvin Kwan, a popular Cantopop singer, has announced his engagement to his girlfriend of over six years, Joann, on Instagram. The proposal was a success, and Kwan shared a photo of the couple along with the caption, “She said YES!! She said YES!! She said YES!!”
Kwan, who is now 40 years old, is well-known for his affection towards Joann, who is an Instagram influencer and flight attendant. He has been known to shower her with luxurious gifts, including a HK$210,000 cash gift for Valentine’s Day. Joann, on the other hand, has expressed her desire to get married multiple times, and Kwan has been waiting for the right moment to propose.
Last year, Kwan was involved in a bicycle accident that resulted in a displaced skull bone and required surgery. He has since credited the accident with bringing him and Joann closer together, and he had previously stated that he would propose to her once the pandemic situation improved and the economy recovered.
The couple had recently gone on a trip to Japan and Thailand, and Joann had posted a photo of a huge diamond ring on her Instagram story, leading fans to speculate if Kwan had proposed. It turns out that he did, and he used a bouquet of 99 roses and a diamond ring to win Joann’s heart.
While the couple has been open about their relationship, they have never posted a photo together until now. Joann shared the engagement announcement on her Instagram story, along with a heartfelt message expressing her gratitude for Kwan’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail. She also revealed that Kwan proposed to her during their trip to Thailand in February, and she was completely surprised by his romantic gesture.
