2nd May 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 9pm yesterday, a 22 year mainland Chinese man went night hiking with 2 friends. While passing Gilwell Campsite near Kowloon Peak on MacLehose Trail, they were ambushed by 4 wolf-like creatures which then surrounded them. Fortunately, the wild animals left after an hour and they didn’t sustain any injuries.
The hikers were startled by the incident and called the police. Police searched the area and couldn’t find the creatures. According to a professor at School of Biological Sciences, Hong Kong University, the wolf pack came across by the hikers was probably stray dogs as there was no historical evidence to suggest that wolves exist in Hong Kong.
