4 imported COVID-19 cases from Hong Kong reported in Mainland


26th June 2022 – (Shenzhen) The mainland added 4 new COVID-19 cases imported from Hong Kong. The cases were distributed in Guangdong and Sichuan provinces. The Guangdong Provincial Health Commission reported that 3 new imported COVID-19 cases from Hong Kong were added last Saturday, of which 1 confirmed and 1 asymptomatic infection was found in Zhuhai, and the other asymptomatic infection was reported from Dongguan. On the same day, Sichuan Province added a new imported case from Hong Kong. The patient was quarantined after arriving in Chengdu by flight from Hong Kong on the 8th of this month, and was later diagnosed as an asymptomatic infection.

In addition, the Shenzhen Port Office of Guangdong Province announced on Saturday that three cross-border truck drivers tested positive at Shenzhen Port last Friday (24th), and they entered Shenzhen Bay and Wenjindu Port respectively. Two of the drivers who entered the country from the Shenzhen Bay Port have returned to Hong Kong. The relevant information has been reported to the relevant Hong Kong authorities. The places where the drivers visited have been disinfected, and their close contacts have been placed under quarantine as required.
