29th January 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 8.06am today, a woman found her 39-year-old Indian boyfriend lying unconscious in a hotel room at Metropark Hotel Mongkok No. 22 Lai Chi Kok Road, Mong Kok, and immediately reported to the police for help. The paramedics rushed to send the male victim to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment, but he was finally certified dead. Investigators are working with the informant to learn about the circumstances of the deceased, and the cause of death is yet to be determined by an autopsy.
Meanwhile, at about 5pm on 27th January, a 46-year-old woman and her female friend went to a room at the same hotel to rest. During the period her friend left first. Later, the woman found that her HK$100,000 cash in her handbag was missing. Suspecting that it was stolen by a friend, she informed the hotel staff and helped to report the crime on her behalf. The police arrived at the scene after receiving the report.
