38,421 new local COVID-19 cases reported in the Mainland, Shanghai Disneyland to close again


29th November 2022 – (Hong Kong) The National Commission reported on Tuesday (29th) that there were 38,421 new local COVID-19 cases in the Mainland two days ago, with 3,561 confirmed cases and 34,860 asymptomatic infections. Guangdong accounted for the most numbers with 8,893 cases, 4,386 cases were added in Beijing and Shanghai also added 178 new cases. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, Shanghai Disneyland, Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower and other places will be temporarily closed from Tuesday.

Shanghai has tightened epidemic prevention measures, and the Municipal Commission of Commerce announced that it will further improve the prevention and control of epidemics in commercial places. From 12am on Tuesday morning, people entering restaurants, bars, shopping malls, supermarkets, vegetable markets, etc. must have a negative nucleic acid test result within 48 hours. Shanghai Disneyland, which only reopened last Friday (25th), will be temporarily closed again from Tuesday, but Disney Town, Wishing Star Park and the theme hotels of the two resorts can continue to operate.

The Epidemic Prevention Headquarters of Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province issued a notice stating that in view of the increasing risk of social spread of the current epidemic and the severe and complicated situation of epidemic prevention and control, from Tuesday to 12 midnight on the 3rd of next month, citizens are strongly advised to work from home.
