10th June 2023 – (Washington) On Friday, U.S. prosecutors unsealed a 37-count indictment against former President Donald Trump, accusing him of mishandling classified documents after leaving the White House in 2021. The federal indictment alleges that Trump put the country’s most sensitive security secrets at risk by sharing information about the US nuclear program and potential domestic vulnerabilities in the event of an attack.

The charges against Trump include one count of conspiracy to disclose classified information, two counts of unauthorised disclosure of classified information, and 34 counts of unauthorised retention of classified information. The indictment also accuses Trump of obstructing justice by attempting to cover up his mishandling of classified information.
