36-year-old music producer sentenced to 5 years in prison for rioting at govt headquarters in Admiralty

20th June 2022 – (Hong Kong) On 29th September, 2019, more than 500 demonstrators besieged the Government Headquarters in Admiralty, and some rioters hurled petrol bombs at the premises causing a fire. The police then carried out a dispersal operation, during which three men were arrested, including a rioter Mok Chun-yu (36 years old, music producer), and charged them with rioting. They were convicted 4 weeks ago and the defendant Mok was convicted and sentenced to 5 years in prison.
