30-year-old allegedly pushed down from top of Ko Cheung Court in Yau Tong and dies (Updated)


13th January 2020 – (Hong Kong) At around 8.40am today, police received report after a 30-year-old man was found lying unconscious opposite the Disciplinary Quarters at Ko Cheung Court in Yau Tong. Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced him deceased. His body was covered by a tent and police are currently trying to establish the cause of the accident. A maid from the opposite unit took a video which shows he was seemingly pushed out from the window.

Police found a work badge at a construction site, a backpack and tools next to the deceased. He was living with his father in Kowloon Bay and it was unsure why he fell off from the apartment in Yau Tong. At 1.30pm today, riot police arrived at the scene to investigate the incident and the deceased’s family members also arrived at the scene.

According to the latest investigation by police, there were no suspicious injuries found on the deceased’s body. He was not arrested in any protests and the case has been classified as suicide. Sources revealed that the deceased had a relationship and financial issues. Police quashed rumours that the deceased was pushed down as reported on social media.
