27th January 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 3.16am in the morning today, a woman reported to the police that her 70-year-old husband, surnamed Lee, fell from a unit of Tung Hoi Mansion in Taikoo Shing, and he was found unconscious next to the sidewalk near the flower trough opposite the building. Paramedics arrived and took the victim to the hospital, but he died of his injuries on arrival. After preliminary investigation, police officers believe that the victim fell from a unit and seized a suicide note at the scene. The cause of death is yet to be determined after an autopsy. Lee was suffering from a physical illness prior to his death.
Meanwhile, at 6.35am today, a man hanged himself with a nylon rope in a park at No. 176 Hing Fong Road, Kwai Chung. He eventually passed away after rescue. Investigators did not find any suicide note at the scene, and the cause of death of the 35-year-old man surnamed Cheung is yet to be determined after an autopsy.
In addition, at around 5pm yesterday, an 86-year-old man fell from the top of Wah Yuet House, Tin Wah Estate in Tin Shui Wai. The security guard heard a loud noise and found an elderly man lying unconscious on the opposite side of the building, so he reported to the police for help. Paramedics arrived at the scene after receiving the report, and after inspection, it was confirmed that the elderly man (86 years old) died on the spot. After preliminary investigation, it is believed that the victim fell from a unit of the building no suicide note was found at the scene. The cause of death is yet to be determined after an autopsy.
