7th October 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 2pm today, a fishing boat caught fire at Shau Kei Wan Typhoon Shelter, 3 sampans and 2 speed boats next to it were also burned. Smoke was billowing from the boats and explosion was heard. Passerby immediately called the police for help. Fireboats arrived and put out the flame after an hour later. All the three boats were severely burned and one man sustained injuries on his hands. Firemen found an acetylene cylinder on one of the boats but they were not sure if it was the cause of the fire. During the investigation, one of the boats suddenly sunk and they immediately returned to their fireboat. Moments later, all the fishing boats sunk into the sea.
