10th October 2019 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) announced that before the 8th race yesterday evening, staff found 3 bottles of dye on the horse racing track. The management was immediately informed. After ensuring that the tracks were safe, the race resumed albeit it was slightly delayed. No suspicious persons were found near the track and HKJC deduced that the bottles were thrown into the racecourse from outside. HKJC has since tightened the security around the perimeter walls to ensure that the horse race could continue safely.
HKJC is extremely concerned with the incident and they have already informed the police. At least 30 more security personnel were deployed to ensure the smooth operation of the race.
