23-year-old woman attacked by robber with baton in Kwun Tong alley

19th May 2024 – (Hong Kong) At around 10pm yesterday, a 23-year-old woman named Chan was walking alone through an alley behind a building on Hung To Road, near King Yip Street in Kwun Tong. She was confronted by a robber who demanded money from her. Showing remarkable courage, the woman refused to comply and fought back. However, her defiance led to her being struck with a wooden baton before the lone assailant fled empty-handed.

Authorities responded to the incident, arriving at the scene to conduct an investigation. The victim sustained injuries to her nose, waist, back, and hands but remained conscious. She was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. The case is being treated as a “robbery” and efforts are underway to apprehend the male suspect involved. The robber is described as a man aged between 20 and 30, standing at approximately 1.6 meters tall.

According to sources, the female victim is an employee at a nearby eatery and happened to be smoking in the alley at the time of the incident.
