6th December 2023 – (Hong Kong) The upcoming 2023 District Council Ordinary Election, scheduled for December 10 (Sunday), has garnered significant attention from the public. The registration period for voting at Near Boundary Polling Stations (NBPSs) commenced on 20th November at 9 am and concluded on 5th Decembe at 6 pm. The Registration and Electoral Office (REO) reported a total of 12,976 registrations during this period.
Registered electors who utilised the online registration system to register for voting at NBPSs will be able to cast their votes at the relevant polling stations. Upon receiving the notification of registration result, confirming their successful registration via SMS and email (if applicable), these electors will be eligible to exercise their voting rights. To ascertain the final polling station assigned to them, electors can conveniently access the Online Voter Information Enquiry System (vr.gov.hk).
In the event that registrants need to adjust their itineraries on the polling day, the REO has established a dedicated hotline at 2891 1001 to facilitate appropriate arrangements. Electors are encouraged to contact the REO for further guidance and support in such circumstances.
