20 workers protest in front of construction site at West Kowloon against salary arrears


29th November 2022 – (Hong Kong) At around 8am today, about 20 workers protest outside a construction site at No. 88 Austin Road West, West Kowloon due to arrears of wages. They held banner with caption, “No salaries despite hard work!”. According to worker representatives, the affected workers are all handymen, each of whom was owed about two months’ salary of about HK$50,000. If they are still not paid, further action cannot be ruled out. Police officers were at the scene to understand the situation.
